Pursuant to N.C.G.S.105-322, the Iredell County Board of Equalization and Review will meet as required by law.
PURPOSE OF MEETINGSTo hear, upon request, any and all taxpayers who own or control taxable property assessed for taxation in Iredell County, with respect to the valuation of such property, or the property of others, and to fulfill other duties and responsibilities as required by law.
TIME OF MEETINGSThe Board will convene for its first 2018 meeting on Thursday, April 19, 2018. Meetings will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. in the Iredell County Tax Administration Office at 135 E Water Street, Statesville, NC. The Board will adjourn for the purpose of accepting requests for hearing on Friday, June 1, 2018. Requests for hearing must be received no later than final adjournment, which is scheduled for 5:00 pm on June 1, 2018. In the event of earlier or later adjournment, notice to that effect will be published in this newspaper.
The schedule for the hearing of appeals which were timely filed will be posted at the office of the Assessor, serving as Clerk to the Board, and will also be provided to individuals and organizations that have requested notice pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-318.12.
It is the public policy of North Carolina and Iredell County that the hearings, deliberations, and actions of the Board of Equalization and Review be conducted openly.
