Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: Two suspects have been arrested after an on-going investigation into drug trafficking in Southern Iredell County was concluded recently.
Iredell County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division had received information about drug activity which was occurring at a residence located at of 215 Rustic Road, Mooresville.
After gathering information and obtaining enough evidence, narcotics investigators were able search the residence. They located 638 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of 159,500.00 dollars. 1,538 grams of hydroponic marijuana, with a street value of 30,760.00 dollars and approximately 5.4 grams of powder cocaine with a street value of 1,350.00 dollars. Numerous items consistent with of drug packaging and other items of paraphernalia were also located inside the residence to include: digital scales, and plastic baggies.
Narcotics investigators were also able to identify the subjects residing at the residence as, Omar Carrillo, and Hugo Carrillo.
Omar Carrillo and Hugo Carrillo were arrested and are being detained at the Cabarrus County Detention Center. Omar Carrillo and Hugo Carrillo were charged with Felony Trafficking by Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI Controlled Substance (Marijuana), Felony Possession of Marijuana, Felony Possession of Cocaine, and Felony Maintaining a Dwelling to Sell Controlled Substance.
Hugo Carrillo received a $250,000 secured bond, and Omar Carrillo received a $250,000 secured bond.
After further investigation and verification, investigators gathered information, Omar Carrillo and Hugo Carrillo are not citizens of United States of America, and are from Mexico.
Both subjects are being held on Immigration Detainers.
