Administration

This division provides support for the business management functions of health department services.  It is also responsible for managing vital records.

Vital Records

• Receives original death and birth certificates in Iredell County
• Certificates are verified for accuracy, processed and a copy is forwarded to the Register of Deeds.
• Copies of all certificates are kept at the health department for one year
• Original certificates are forwarded to the State Vital Records Office in Raleigh for recording and permanent storage.
