Administration

This division provides support for the business management functions of health department services.  It is also responsible for managing vital records.

Vital Records

• Original certificates for deaths and births that occur in Iredell County are received.
• Certificates are verified for accuracy and then processed.  Copies of the certificates are forwarded to the Iredell County Register of Deeds, from whom they may be obtained.
• Original certificates are forwarded to the State Vital Records Office in Raleigh, where they are recorded and permanently stored.
