Planning Board
The Iredell County Planning Board is a board appointed by the Iredell
County Commissioners. The Planning Board’s powers and
duties cover a broad base of items. The most common items before
the Board concern rezoning of property. The Planning Board
also recommends amendments for the ordinances utilized by the
Planning staff. For these requests, the Board gives a recommendation
to the Iredell County Board of Commissioners, who approve or
deny the request. The Board’s meetings are public hearings
at which the public is allowed to give their opinions and recommendations
concerning the items which are before them.
