Iredell Camp Excursions is an established, overnight trip and travel type camp, offered several times during the summer. This program is designed to incorporate adventure/environmental education through experiential learning. Each trip provides a variety of educational experiences including developing independence, increasing self-esteem, and learning outdoor skills, all while participating in action packed adventure activities. Some activities include (but are not limited to) ropes challenge courses, rappelling, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, camping, canoeing, sea kayaking, snorkeling, and caving.
2010 Camp Excursions Sessions:
Mountain Adventure: July 16-24 $420/person
Take an excursion through the mountains of North Carolina to view the beauties our great state. The activities included in this trek are ropes challenge course, climbing tower, tubing, horseback riding, hiking, Cherokee Indian Village, camping, and visiting waterfalls.
Virginia Excursion: July 30- August 7 $470/person
Do you like history with some fun mixed in? Activities for this session include: Washington DC, Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, ropes course, climbing tower, and camping.
Mandatory pre-trip meetings are scheduled for June 8th and 29th at 7:00pm at the Outdoor Education Center in Mooresville. All campers and parents must attend one of the meetings.

Camp Iredell is an exciting day camp offered eight weeks during the summer. The program is designed to incorporate a wide variety of fun and educational activities. The program is open to students who have completed one year of Kindergarten, through age 11. Each session of camp includes a variety of structured activities that change weekly. Activities may include, but are not limited to, swimming, guest speakers, crafts, games, environmental activities, and field trips. Camp operates Monday-Friday (see dates below) throughout the summer. This year, daily drop-off will operate between 7:00am-8:30am, and pick-up from 5pm-6pm, at Brawley Middle School and Statesville Middle School (Pre-registration required).
