Iredell County Area Transportation System/ ICATS

ICATS is a Community Transportation Program that serves both human service consumers as well as the general public. The service operates between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some additional evening hours are currently available, including limited weekend service. Services are provided through deviated fixed routes, subscription routes, and demand response service trips.

ICATS is a paratransit service; a ridesharing public transportation system that enables routes and schedules to be structured to transport multiple passengers to multiple destinations. Service is provided curb-to-curb unless door-to-door service is requested for special populations.

Types of service provided: Medical, personal, and employment trips are available.

The goal of ICATS is to provide to the citizens of Iredell County transportation services that are efficient, safe, and effective. ICATS does want to make our public transportation system work for all of our citizens. We do welcome suggestions as to ways to improve our service.

Operates Monday through Friday, and limited service on Saturdays
$1.00 trip charge each boarding
Carry-on packages only

*Statesville Loop R104: Passengers must be at the designated stops when the vehicle arrives to board the vehicle. Passengers can exit the vehicle at any point along the route as long as it is considered safe to stop the vehicle.
