As part of the I-40/I-77 Interchange Project, noise walls will be built:
- From just west of Radio Rd. across from Western Avenue Baptist Church to where Museum Road moves away from I-40.
- From the east side of Radio Road, extending to the down ramp at U.S. 21 behind the Highway Patrol Station.
- From south of Davie Avenue (U.S. 64), extending south up the ramp to Broad Street;
- From the creek just south of Broad Street, south to Camden Drive, behind St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church (NCDOT Project Website. Click on “project plans” on right or “noise and retaining walls” on lower right).
