Iredell county, court, trial, district 22A Iredell County Courthouse North Carolina's unified Judicial Branch is one of three equal and independent branches of state government. Some counties are grouped together to form one judicial district.
The Twenty-second Judicial District is comprised of Alexander, Davidson, Davie, and Iredell counties. This site contains information regarding the courts in the Iredell County Courthouse and information of general interest about the North Carolina Court System.

necessary to protect the lives & safety of the citizens of
Iredell County in a professional and courteous manner, through
the enforcement of the North Carolina State Building Codes and
associated State and Local Regulations. |

Cooperative Extension Service is the outreach arm of
the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at North
Carolina State University and the School of Agriculture at North Carolina A&T State University, consisting
of
county agents, professors, scientists and volunteers working together
to improve the quality of life in North Carolina. |

Administers all
county departments under the general control of the County

Communications |
Staffed twenty-four hours a day, receives all 911 calls
for all cities and the county. |

Management |
Promotes community preparedness and disaster
management by creating and delivering various projects and programs.
Special emphasis is placed upon disaster preparedness, prevention,
response, and recovery. |

Medical Services |
Provides 24 hour prehospital emergency care
at the paramedic level throughout the county to all
Iredell County residents. |

The Facility Services Department provides service for
Iredell County Buildings. This includes maintenance and upkeep on
the buildings and grounds. |

Responsible for
county finances including accounts payable, payroll,
budget, debt and investment administration, fixed assets,
purchasing, auditing, accounts receivable, and financial
reporting and analysis. |

Marshal |
Improves public safety by
promoting the control of fire hazards; prevention of loss
of life and property due to hazardous materials, man-made hazards
and other natural hazards.

The goal of the Iredell County Health
Department is to promote and protect the personal and environmental
health of the over 100,0000 citizens of Iredell County. This goal
is accomplished by actively working to safeguard personal health
and promote quality health for all ages, promoting healthy lifestyles
through education, and monitoring potential environmental health
problems. |

Responsible for administering the personnel
policy, ensures compliance; administers employee benefits, classification
and pay plan; and maintains personnel records and files. Safety
section is responsible for administering the safety policy, investigating
accidents, reviewing safety standards, and assisting other departments
in maintaining a safe work environment.

management, telecommunications, application development, web development,
email services and GIS.

The Planning Department is responsible for zoning requests
and enforcement, subdivisions and property splits, property description
forms (prior to building and health permits), flood and census data,
house numbering, street signs, and other related matters. |

Offers adult and juvenile collections, reference resources,
Internet access and CD and DVD checkout at two library facilities
and through a bookmobile. |

Records and
maintains official documents including land records, marriage
licenses, birth certificates and death certificates. |

Office |
Enforces and
maintains public safety. |

Services |
Provides
financial assistance, protective services, and an array of services
to help individuals and families maintain/enhance health, safety and
well-being. |

Waste |
Operates both a Municipal Solid Waste landfill and a
Transfer Station. Maintains three sites around
the county for disposal and recycling by citizens. Provides educational
opportunities and assistance with recycling and anti-litter programs.
Responsible for the enforcement of solid waste ordinances. |
| Tax
Administration / Land Records |
The Iredell County Tax Department
is responsible listing, appraising and assessing all real property,
personal property and registered motor vehicles within Iredell County,
its five municipalities and all special districts. The Tax Collections
Division is charged with the duty of collecting all current taxes
and delinquent taxes on this property. In addition to property taxes,
the department oversees the billing and collections of Rental Vehicle
Tax and Schedule B licenses. The Land Records Division is responsible
for maintaining ownership files and cadastral maps for all real property
in Iredell County. The cadastral maps are maintained digitally for
assessment purposes, and are available on the Internet. |
| Transportation
Services |
Community Transportation Program serving human
service and general public transportation needs for citizens of Iredell
County. Service operates Monday through Friday between the hours
of 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., and on a limited Saturday schedule from
6:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. |
| Vehicle Services |
This department is responsible for the maintenance of
all 220 county vehicles. They perform everything from an oil change
to a complete overhaul of the vehicle. |

Services |
Assists local
veterans with securing aid in the form of pensions, compensation,
insurance, home loans, health benefits and education
assistance. |
