Come join us for a day of adventure to a new place or make a new friend. We visit dinner theaters, restaurants, museums, historical places, and every once in a while we go out into nature. To be put on our mailing list please email Ashley Beam at abeam@co.iredell.nc.us or call 704-832-2326.

Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens
(Belmont, NC)

$35.00/person
Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens is approximately a 10 acre facility with 12 gardens. We will have an 1-1/2 hr guided tour through the gardens and Orchid Conservatory. We will have a boxed lunch prepared by a local deli restaurant; you will choose your sandwich/salad boxed lunch when registering. After lunch you will have time to explore the gardens and store at your own pace. Lunch is included in the registration cost.

This will require a fair amount of walking on uneven ground.
Shatley Springs/Windsor Run Cellars
(W. Jefferson and Hamptonville, NC)

$40.00/person
Enjoy a family style breakfast at Shatley Springs Restaurant near W. Jefferson, NC. We will tour Holy Trinity Church and St. Mary Church frescoes and the Ashe County cheese factory. We will get some sandwiches for lunch at Shiloh General Store, an Amish store. Then we will head to Windsor Run Cellars vineyard for a tour and wine tasting.
Breakfast is included in your registration price. Bring money to cover lunch

Old Salem
(Winston Salem, NC)

$30.00/person
Old Salem is a historic town founded by the Moravians in 1766. The town has been preserved and you are able to see how the Moravians lived through the costumed volunteers. This day is packed full of history with treats to eat and hands on experience. You may pack your lunch or eat at Mayberry's which serves hamburgers, sandwiches, hotdogs, and milkshakes. Lunch is not included in your registration price.
This trip will require a lot of walking. There are benches along the road to sit and rest.
