CAMP IREDELL COUNSELORS
Summer Day Camp
Iredell County Recreation Department is seeking camp counselors to supervise children ages kindergarten through eleven in an established day camp program. Positions will be in effect from June 7th through August 13th with weekends off. This includes staff training (June 7th – June 10th in the evenings) and 8 weeks of camp (June 21st -August 13th).

| Duties: |
Counselors are responsible for leading daily activities for the campers, such as games, crafts, environmental activities, swimming, short hikes, etc. Counselors are also responsible for camper supervision and behavior management, daily record keeping, maintaining a clean work environment, good relations with the public and other staff members, the safety and well being of campers, and maintaining camp morale and a motivated atmosphere, as well as other duties assigned by the director. |
| Minimum Education & Experience: |

| Special Requirements: |
High School graduate, age 18 or older, valid driver’s license with a good driving record, CDL class B or willing to obtain one if 21 or older, First Aid and CPR certified, good swimming ability, and experience or desire to work with youth on a daily basis. Must be reliable, punctual, and work well with others. |
| Salary Range: |
$7.25- $8.75/hr DOE/Q |
