Camp Excursions

Designed for kids ages 13-15 with a passion for the natural world, this overnight program takes a hands-on approach to learning and fun! Experience what it is like to venture through the woods, enjoying all that nature has to offer, in addition to other fun activities! Your days will be filled with exciting camp activities like a ropes challenge course, orienteering, archery, field games, campfires, climbing tower, and much more.

All sessions are Monday-Friday, 5 days with 4 overnight camping experiences. The sessions will begin at the Outdoor Education Center in Mooresville on Monday, and after 2 nights they will travel off-site for a three day, two night camping trip and additional activities.

For 2016 we will offer 4 sessions, 2 Mountain Excursions and 2 New River Excursions!

Mountain Excursion

 
Hiking, camping, and some mountain biking the in Mount Rogers, VA area. Includes the ropes challenge course, climbing tower, orienteering, archery, games, and camping (Adirondack cabins) at the Outdoor Education Center.

New River Excursion

 
A two-day canoe and camping trip down the New River in NC. Includes the ropes challenge course, climbing tower, orienteering, archery, games, and camping (Adirondack cabins) at the Outdoor Education Center.
June 27-July 1
July 25-29


Cost for each week of camp is $375.00. This includes meals and activities for 5 days, transportation, accommodations and supplies for 4 nights, supervision, and instruction.
