Camp Excursions

NEW!


Designed for kids ages 13-15 with a passion for the natural world, this overnight program takes a hands-on approach to learning and fun!

Your days will be filled with exciting activities like camping, archery, a ropes challenge course, orienteering, games, campfires, and much more.

All sessions are Monday-Friday, 5 days with 4 overnight camping experiences. The sessions will begin at the Outdoor Education Center in Mooresville on Monday, and after 2 nights they will travel off-site for a three day, two night camping trip and additional activities.

For 2017 we will offer 2 sessions, 1 Mountain Excursion and 1 New River Excursion!

Mountain Excursion

 
Hiking, camping, and some mountain biking the in Mount Rogers, VA area. Includes the ropes challenge course, orienteering, archery, games, and camping (Adirondack cabins) at the Outdoor Education Center.
July 17-21


New River Excursion

 
A two-day canoe and camping trip down the New River in NC. Includes the ropes challenge course, orienteering, archery, games, and camping (Adirondack cabins) at the Outdoor Education Center.
July 24-28


Cost for each week of camp is $350. This includes meals and activities for 5 days, transportation, accommodations and supplies for 4 nights, supervision, and instruction.
