    Absentee Voting By Mail Absentee voting by mail begins on Fri. Sept. 9, 2016 and continues through Tues. Nov. 1, 2016 at 5 pm for the Nov. 8 General Election. To request an absentee ballot, complete the absentee ballot request form found on the attached link and mail it to the Iredell County Board of Elections at 203 Stockton St. Statesville, NC 28677 or call 704-878-3140

    Voter Registration Deadline for the Nov. 8, 2016 General Election Voter registration deadline for the Nov. 8, 2016 General Election is Friday, October 14, 2016. All new registrations must be received by the Board of Elections office by 5 pm. Voter registration forms can be found on the attached link. Please complete the form and fax (704-832-2312) or mail to 203 Stockton St. Statesville, NC 28677. Call the Elections office at 704-878-3140 for further information.

    November 8, 2016 General Election Nov. 8, 2016 General Election. All polling places will be open from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm. There is NO voting at the Board of Elections on Nov. 8, 2016. Overview
The Board of Elections is responsible for supervising voter registration and conducting all elections held within Iredell County. Its functions include: 

  • Appointing election officials
  • Establishing election precincts
  • Hearing appeals
  • Investigating voter irregularities

The Board of Elections meets for regular scheduled meetings on the first Tuesday of each month (if there is business to conduct) at 1:15 pm at the Board of Elections Office.
