Juvenile Crime Prevention Council
The purpose of the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council is to review the needs of the juvenile population in the county who are at risk of delinquency or who have been adjudicated undisciplined or delinquent, to ensure that appropriate intermediate dispositional options are available, and to make recommendations to the board of commissioners on the level of state funding to be awarded to local delinquency prevention programs.
Meeting Schedule (All Meetings Are Open to the Public): Due to COVID-19 and the Governor's Executive Order, the JCPC meetings are being held by WebEx. Iredell County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) is seeking proposals for programs that will serve delinquent and at-risk youth. Iredell County JCPC is focused on programs that will address substance abuse treatment or assessment, school behavior problems, pro-social peer rejection and association with other delinquent activity, and a lack of parental supervision. Funding Meeting: February 16, 2020 at 8:30am via WebEx. This meeting is for program presentations and to reach a funding recommendation to present at the March 9, 2020 JCPC meeting.
