NOTICE OF MEETINGS
of the Iredell County
BOARD of EQUALIZATION and REVIEW
Pursuant to N.C.G.S.105-322 the Iredell County Board of Equalization and Review will meet as required by law
PURPOSE OF MEETINGS
To hear upon application, taxpayers that own or control taxable property assessed for taxation in Iredell County, with respect to the valuation of such property, or the property of others, and to fulfill other duties and responsibilities required by law.
TIME OF MEETINGS
The Board will convene for its first 2017 meeting on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Meetings will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. in the Iredell County Tax Administration Office at 135 E Water Street, Statesville, NC. The Board will adjourn for the purpose of accepting appeals on
Friday, June 2, 2017. Requests for an appeal hearing must be received in writing no later than 5:00 pm on June 2, 2017. In the event of earlier or later adjournment, notice to that effect will be published in this newspaper.
Owners of real property that receive an assessment notice after the adjournment of the Board of Equalization and Review may file a written request for appeal within 30 days after the date of the notice. Owners of taxable personal property may file a request for appeal within 30 days after the date of the tax bill. Owners of registered motor vehicles may appeal within 30 days of the due date printed on the notice.
